At 7:00 PM on Friday, September 11, 2026, the Melville Volunteer Fire Department will be honoring the memory of the Town of Huntington Residents who perished twenty-five years ago.

We invite you, your family and your friends to join us this Patriot Day at the Melville Fire Department’s World Trade Center Monument, located at Substation #3 on the corner of Old Country Road and New York Avenue in Melville.

The service is scheduled to start promptly at 7:00 PM and conclude at approximately 8:00 PM. Once the service has concluded, you are welcome to remain to reflect in private or to lay flowers or remembrances at our 9/11 Memorial Monument and plaque which is engraved with the names of our townships’ residents who lost their lives that day.

We look forward to seeing you on this National Day or Service and Remembrance, which is not only a sad day, but also a tribute to the American Spirit to continue to overcome adversity and go forward.
