The Melville Fire Department responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident on the Northern State Parkway, westbound at exit 39 (Round Swamp Road), on Saturday, August 24th at about 2:20 am.

Two occupants suffered injuries, one in serious condition. Both patients were transported to the Nassau University Medical Center. Melville FD dispatched two ambulances, one engine, paramedic and two EMS responder units under the direction of Assistant Chiefs David Kaplan and Jason Bernfeld.

The accident occurred near the Nassau County border and the Plainview Fire Department assisted with an engine.
